Terms

Terms of Use

Effective: September 18, 2026

1. Scope

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of sentaryn.com, the current Sentaryn Free GitHub product, its setup/configuration flow, and the Early Access / founder-assisted access process. By using these services, you agree to these Terms.

A separately agreed pilot, subscription, enterprise arrangement, software license or other commercial relationship may have additional terms. These Terms do not replace a separately negotiated agreement; section 12 explains how conflicting terms are handled.

2. Sentaryn Free and assisted access

Sentaryn Free is live through a GitHub App and is currently offered at $0. Users install the App through GitHub, verify installation access during setup, select an available repository and save supported Shadow configuration. Current offer details are described on the Pricing page; this is not a promise of perpetual free access.

Sentaryn Free observes and evaluates AI-generated changes. Users review informational Shadow decisions in GitHub. Sentaryn Free does not itself configure merge protection or enforce its authority decisions. It does not replace review, tests, CI, branch protection or security scanners. Repository rules configured by you or a repository owner may independently make the Sentaryn GitHub check relevant to merge eligibility; a missing required result can prevent merging.

The assisted-access form is optional; applying is not required to install Sentaryn Free. We may follow up depending on fit and availability. Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance, onboarding, support, response time or any additional product capability.

3. No automatic authorization or security guarantee

Requested → Authorized → Actual → Evidence → Decision

Information presented by Sentaryn, including governance decisions, evidence, checks, documentation, or examples, should not be treated as a guarantee that software is secure, defect-free, compliant with law, or appropriate for a particular production environment.

A Shadow decision is informational; it does not itself approve a merge or authorize a deployment. Passing tests does not prove that every change was authorized by the task. Passing or failing an authority evaluation is not legal or security advice.

You remain responsible for your repositories and source code, GitHub configuration and access choices, development workflow, review, testing, security controls, and merge/deployment decisions. You must have authority to connect the repositories and provide information used with Sentaryn.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Information you submit

You are responsible for information you submit through Sentaryn and represent that you have the right to provide it.

Do not submit passwords, private keys, API tokens, access credentials, confidential source code, or other secrets through the early-access form. If you provide a repository URL, you remain responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to share that URL.

Connecting a GitHub repository is separate from submitting the assisted-access form. You must be authorized to grant the installation access and configure the repository. The form warning is not a claim that the GitHub product cannot access or process source code. See the Privacy Policy for documented data handling and unresolved evaluation-runtime details.

6. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide product feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you allow Sentaryn to use that feedback to evaluate, develop, and improve its products without an obligation to compensate you. This does not transfer ownership of your underlying software, source code, or confidential business information.

7. Intellectual property

The Sentaryn name, branding, website content, software, documentation, and related materials are owned by Sentaryn or its licensors, except where otherwise stated. These Terms do not grant you ownership of Sentaryn intellectual property.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of your repositories or source code to Sentaryn.

8. Third-party services and links

Sentaryn relies on GitHub for App installation, authentication and repository access during setup, and on Cloudflare for website/backend infrastructure and intake controls. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Sentaryn is not responsible for services it does not control.

Using Sentaryn does not replace your responsibility for GitHub installation access, settings and repository protections. No GitHub endorsement is implied.

9. Service availability

We may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue the website, Sentaryn Free, setup flow or assisted-access process. Features, integrations, limits and availability may change. No uninterrupted availability, service level or support response time is promised unless separately agreed in writing.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website, Sentaryn Free, setup and assisted-access materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory.

Sentaryn information and evaluations do not constitute legal, compliance, security or professional advice for your organization.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sentaryn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from use of or inability to use the website, Sentaryn Free, setup flow or assisted-access process.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Commercial and pilot agreements

If you enter into a pilot, subscription, enterprise arrangement, software license, or other commercial agreement with Sentaryn, that agreement may contain additional or different terms, including terms concerning confidentiality, data processing, support, warranties, liability and disputes. Where that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the specific agreement will control for that relationship.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Sentaryn develops. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
